Yesterday, under a warm and beautiful February sun, snowboarders from all over the world participated in the Snowboard Parallel Slalom event at Park City Mountain Resort. The powerhouse Japanese Snowboarding team won its third gold medal, and Japan’s own Norobu Harada won his second gold medal in the 2007 Winter Deaflympics. Harada defeated Austria’s Peter Strack in the Big Final to grab the gold. While in the Little Final, America’s Jeffery Pollock held off Fabio Perricone of Italy to claim the bronze.

On the women’s side Akiko Kasai defeated Switzerland’s Denis Ledermann to win the gold medal. Finland’s Ceci Hanhikoski handily defeated Marlene Tutzer of Italy for the bronze medal.
